Some meetings are not just meetings.
They are a snapshot of an ecosystem growing closer together.
This week at the Hamamatsu Photonics Europe Partner Meeting for Digital Pathology in Herrsching, we had the chance to reconnect with many familiar faces, meet new partners, and feel once again how much energy there is in this community.
For Smart In Media, our IMS presentation was a journey through joint SIM x Hamamatsu projects around the world — from Chile to Kazakhstan, from Athens to Madrid, and many places in between.
What made it special was not only showing where we have worked together.
It was showing what these collaborations actually created: practical customer solutions, real workflows, and digital pathology projects that only become possible when scanner technology, IMS, LIS, AI, service, and people are aligned.
And then came the part no product roadmap can capture: conversations by the lake, a boat trip on the Ammersee, a small casino evening, and a very serious darts competition. 🎯
That is where partnership becomes more than a slide deck.
Thank you to Hamamatsu for bringing this international community together — and to all partners, colleagues, and friends who made Day 1 so open, warm, and valuable.
Day 2 continues today. Corina Turner, Jens Martin Mallow, MSc, and Ralph Gloser are looking forward to more conversations, more ideas, and more shared momentum for digital pathology.
