Madrid, May 30th, 2026 – Grupo Oesía, a Spanish multinational technology company specialized in dual-use engineering, and the German company Smart In Media AG, an European benchmark in digital Pathology, have signed a strategic alliance to jointly develop advanced solutions that improve patient diagnosis in the healthcare sector through the use of AI.
The alliance brings together Smart In Media’s innovative technology for Enterprise Digital Pathology Ecosystem and Grupo Oesía’s solid experience as an integrator of advanced technologies in the healthcare sector. The two companies are thus launching a highly specialized, scalable technological solution designed to achieve faster and more accurate diagnoses, shorten patient waiting times and facilitate access to specialists, resulting in better care and greater chances of success in the treatment of diseases such as cancer.
PathoZoom® Digital Lab, the digital pathology platform developed by Smart In Media, is a central part of this proposal. Among other functionalities, the platform makes it possible to manage, view, share and analyze digitized pathology images, including the use of integrated AI applications integrating with the equipment and systems already in place in hospitals and laboratories, adapting to their workflows with limited disruption to existing infrastructures and workflows.
Thanks to this technology, specialists can share cases in real time with other professionals and rely on AI tools capable of automating repetitive tasks and assisting in the detection of patterns associated with oncology and other pathology-related use cases. This approach not only optimizes diagnosis times, but also enhances the professional’s analytical capabilities, facilitates more informed decision-making and standardizes diagnostic processes, reducing clinical variability.
