That was our strongest takeaway from Day 1 at the Annual Meeting of the German Society of Pathology in Augsburg.
Digital pathology is about platforms, workflows, image management, AI readiness and infrastructure.
But in the end, it is also about people, cases and very practical diagnostic moments.
One highlight today was meeting Prof. Dr. Serey Vathana Chhut from the University of Health Sciences in Phnom Penh, Cambodia — a long-standing user of our system and someone we had worked with several years ago on a user story. Seeing him here in Augsburg, where he contributed to a panel discussion on the future of autopsy, was a powerful reminder of how far digital pathology workflows can travel when they are built for real use.
Another memorable moment happened directly at our booth: two pathologists were genuinely happy to see an actual microscope among all the digital solutions. They needed it to review specific slides together — live, case-based and in direct exchange.
And that is exactly where our approach starts.
With PathoZoom® Scan & LiveView, digital pathology can begin directly at the microscope — with live streaming, scanning, collaboration, telepathology, chat and voice messages.
From there, the workflow can grow into PathoZoom® Digital Lab, our Image Management System and comprehensive diagnostic platform for digital pathology.
For teaching and training, SmartZoom® brings digital microscopy into modern medical education.
Day 1 reminded us why we call ourselves „The Pathologists’ Company“:
Because digital pathology only creates real value when it supports the way pathologists actually work.
