No – it’s a manual whole slide imaging solution. You move the slide manually using your microscope stage, but get scanner-grade image quality

How high is the scan quality?

What do I need to get started?

Just a standard microscope, a Windows PC, and our PathoZoom® camera with Scan & LiveView software. No IT expertise required.

Try it yourself: Zoom into the image – move the specimen as you would on a microscope

You are looking at a core biopsy, scanned at 10x magnification. With PathoZoom® Scan it’s possible to combine two digital scans (HE and immunohistochemistry in this exaple) in one file by “freezing” the first image and scanning the second image in the same session. The scan took about 60 (2×30) seconds.

This example shows a skin biopsy of a molluscum contagiosum, scanned at 10x magnification. The scan took about 30 seconds.

You can also scan using oil immersion. This example was scanned in oil at 40x (mimicking a 63-80x for the human eye). Because of an excellent microscope, this quality exceeds the quality of a US$100k scanner for hematologic cytomorphology. The scan took about 60 seconds.
